HISTORY OF FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF FACULTY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES

The Faculty of Foreign Languages was established in 2021 under Decision No. 14/QD-CTHĐT-ĐHTĐ dated November 24, 2021. The faculty is fully equipped with facilities and equipment in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. It advises the Rector on training and scientific research related to the major, conducts training, scientific research, and professional development, and manages professional work and students under its responsibility and authority. The management and teaching staff are highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated to the cause of education and training. The Faculty of Foreign Languages consists of three departments: the Department of English Language Studies, the Department of General English, and the Department of English for Specific Purposes.

This is one of the faculties at TDU that has been granted a Certificate of meeting the quality assessment criteria for the English Language training program by the Center for Quality Assessment in Education - Vietnam National University, Hanoi in 2021. The faculty has received certificates of merit for advanced labor collectives and for successfully completing their tasks. As of June 2024, the Faculty of Foreign Languages has a total of 19 staff members, 18 of whom are full-time lecturers. All full-time lecturers have postgraduate qualifications, including 3 Doctors (16.7%) and 16 Masters (83.3%).
